Dr. Hilary Duckett

Dr Hilary Duckett is the Director of Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme and Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management at University of Exeter Business School. She was an Associate Professor in Leadership at University of Lincoln, UK. Dr Hilary is an internationally experienced academic with a strong profile in portfolio development, innovation, educational management and coaching and a qualified Star Notion Coach Practitioner. She has senior strategic and operational leadership skills including the management of projects and inter-disciplinary teams and has extensive experience of curriculum design innovation and design. She has held university senior roles such as Director of Business School, University of Plymouth, Associate Dean Teaching and Learning, Knowledge Transfer, Director of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), and multiple programme leadership positions.
Dr Duckett has delivered several funded research projects including: a Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (mKTP) with a healthcare technology provider (UKRI funded); a project supporting women entrepreneurs in the Philippines; and a project supporting women into senior leadership roles in Nigeria and South Africa (British Council funded programmes). She is an experienced doctoral supervisor with several completions as Director of Studies. Her research interests are in leadership, high performance coaching, entrepreneurship and pedagogy. She holds External Examiner roles at Doctoral and MBA levels. Dr Duckett has published several articles with a focus on pedagogy and entrepreneurship. She has also published several book chapters on coaching and leadership.
